David L. Croak, 64, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Jersey Shore Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1947 in Lock Haven, the son of Clair A. and Sara E. (Shaffer) Croak.
David was married to the former Judy A. Frank with whom he shared 43 loving years of marriage. He was Judy’s companion, best friend and partner.
David was a U.S. Army veteran and retired in 1994 after 29 years of service. David was a member of the First Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pensacola Florida.
After retiring from the U.S. Army, David and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and camper.
Surviving besides his wife Judy are a daughter, Davetta L. Sindoni of New York; four grandchildren; a brother, Ted L. Croak of York, PA; two sisters, Sandra K. (Paul) Herman of York, PA, Donna C. Wolfe of Morristown, IN.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Eugene F. Croak.
Family will provide flowers so that memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 145550, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250.
Relatives and friends are invited to David’s Life Celebration from 3-4PM with a memorial service to follow at 4PM on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. “A Life Celebration Home” 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore with Rev. William Anderson officiating.
