Lorraine Bennett Roe, Born 12/4/1924 Died 10/4/2012 was born in Hatboro to George Henry Bennett and Marguerite Violet Leidy Bennett. She attended Loller Academy as did her mother and grandfather, John S. Leidy and graduated from Hatboro High School. After high school she attended West Chester College to earn her teacher's degree. While vacationing on Long Beach Island she met Bernard Francis Roe, a farmer from Kansas, who had enlisted in the Coast Guard in WWll. Their love blossomed and they married at Lehman United Methodist Church in 1946. It was off to Kansas to raise two daughters and a bunch of dairy cows. The death of John Leidy brought them back to Pennsylvania after 8 years on the farm. Lorraine and Bernard enjoyed 54 years of marriage together. She is the loving mother of Linda Roe Tipping of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Georgia Roe Zieger and her husband David of Warminster. She was the devoted grandmother of Michael H. Tipping, Sarah A. Dominek, and John D. Zieger, and great-grandmother of Mackenzie & Jacob Tipping and Zoe Dominek. Also survived by a half sister and brother and several nephews. Family and friends are invited to share in Lorraine's life celebration Tuesday after 10 AM and to her Service of Christian Burial at 11AM Craft-Givnish of Abington 1801 Old York Rd.
