Robert "Bob" Vogt, a resident of Point Pleasant, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center, at the age of 53. He was the husband of Bernadette Checchia. He is survived by two sisters, Sue Ferguson and Kathy Vogt, and their families. He is also survived by his aunt, Betty Brown, and her son Dean. Born in Philadelphia, Bob was the son of the late John and Mary Lee Vogt.

Bob was the Head Finisher at George Nakashima Woodworker in New Hope, where he worked for the past 10 years and had many close friends.

Bob had many interests, including motorcycles, kayaking, and rock climbing. He was an animal lover, known for his kindness and generosity. He was a daredevil with a great (and quirky) sense of humor. Always quick to lend a helping hand, Bob leaves behind many friends, both two-legged and four-legged.

Private services were held at the convenience of his family with the assistance of Leaver-Cable Funeral Home of Buckingham.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to: Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center, 1531 Upper Stump Road, Chalfont, PA 18914,; and Best Friends Animal Society,

Bob – We will miss your big heart and your good-natured teasing. You will be in our hearts forever. Your loving family and friends.
